The Adventures of Sir Oisin Rhymour Leif McGowan: 2020 to the Present

Oisin started with images of giants living in the far reaches of the Americas. He wanted to find traces of their stories while searching for hidden springs and the myths that still shape the country’s traditions. He moved from west to east, crossing the United States with a notebook full of legends and local tales.

Traveling Without King Cian

Oisin made this journey on his own. King Cian, who often joined him before, stayed behind to spend time with his mother, Etain. The first stretch took Oisin through the forests and mountains of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Each state added its own stories; dense woodlands whispered of fairies, and he wandered along a trail marked by stone figures, said to be the result of Medusa’s curse.

Strange Encounters and Small Dangers

After the forest, Oisin found himself at the Miracle hot springs. The springs had their guardian, an alligator that watched over the waters. He almost ran out of gas in the emptiest stretch of road he had ever seen, where fuel cost far more than he expected. This was a place where the road seemed to vanish into nothing, and even the smallest mistake could become a problem.

People, Pressure, and the High Country

As he crossed into Utah and moved on to Colorado, the crowds grew. National Parks overflowed with students and families on spring break. The noise and constant movement added a new kind of pressure. Oisin began to worry about his upcoming vaccination and wondered whether the mountain air or a bout of allergies might make things worse. The Rocky Mountains brought sharp turns, snow patches, and roads that demanded his full attention.

Weather and Renewal

Once vaccinated, Oisin pressed on. He faced harsh weather: icy rain, thick fog, and patches of snow. The road became more difficult, but he moved forward, drawing strength from old myths and discoveries. Each stop brought a new story, and each challenge deepened his understanding of the legends he set out to find.
