10.02.20: Backyard E-learning and Web Dev

Arvada – Grand Lake, Colorado

Oisin and Cian are awake early, grabbing cereal, milk, and orange juice for breakfast. Dad strings out the hammock while Cian prepares for e-learning on his school laptop. Dad prepares to work on client web sites and vlogs. Oisin supervises King Cian during his remote learning, both hanging in the backyard as Aiyana and Ash have therapists over inside the house to work with them. It’s a late start school day, so classes don’t begin until 10 am West coast, which means 11 am Colorado time. Cian does his 2nd grade main class on zoom from 11-1230 pm, then has his music class from 4-430 pm. Its hazy and smoky from the wildfires in the mountains. Dad can taste the ash in his mouth.

Showers in the morning, Hot dogs for lunch, it was a low-key stay at home at their Colorado base station. The smoke is getting thick from the fires in the mountains. Once the therapists left, all the kids got to play together after school. Once Allison was done with work, the household packed up for their weekend trip to the mountains. That evening the family all drove up to Grand Lake to the Cabin to celebrate Allison’s and Jennifer’s sister’s birthday over the weekend. They pit stopped at the grocery store for sundries, and Dan / Cindy made up some Chili for dinner. It was so good for Oisin and Cian to see their extended family whom they haven’t seen for a very long time. Oisin spent a good portion of the evening relaxing in the hot tub and breathing in the fresh mountain air. He could not taste the ash in Grand Lake, though you can see the fires in the distance. Family catch up and a relaxing restful sleep.
