Maple Falls – Renton, Washington
Oisin and Cian had to awake at 5:00 am in order to get to school by 8:30 am, especially given Renton and Seattle traffic would be a nightmare during morning rush, and its at least a 2.5 hour drive from Maple Falls to Renton without traffic issues. They were on the road by 5:30 am, and drove south. King Cian slept in the car, while sleep deprived dad treaded on. Its commutes through Seattle and Bellevue area is one of the main reasons Oisin hates Seattle so much these days, not to mention many other things degrading the city from the days when he once lived there. Not to mention he could never afford to live there without enslaving himself to several hours of commute time, struggling wages, and a loss of life energy. Plus he’s tied to Colorado and prefers the state. They drove from Maple Falls to Renton for school. They embrace a snow storm along the way and incredibly nightmarish traffic jams. It was snowing on and off through the journey south. Sheer exhaustion. After dropping Cian off at school, Oisin hit Starbucks to do some web development, wait for Doordash orders, Chai n’ WiFi.
In order for him to help Etain out with her training and new work schedule, she booked Oisin an Air BnB in Federal Way for the night. Oisin checked in, unpacked his luggage, then headed to pick King Cian up from school. They hit Starbucks afterwards to play, shelter from the weather, and work on homework.

Oisin and King Cian worked on homework, finished up web development, and then upon Cian’s pleading – dropped off at KFC for dinner while awaiting Etain getting off work. Oisin had a conference call with a client, dropped Cian off at his mom’s around 7 pm, then sped off to the Regal theater to use his Regal unlimited Pass to see the latest “The Grudge” which he wasn’t impressed with. He gave it 2 stars. He was disturbed. He had to drop hours with Grubhub that he had scheduled to do in Bellingham in order to stay down to take Cian to school at 8:30 am, and pick him up after school at 3 pm. He did receive a penalty in his ratings and was no longer a “Premiere” member – meaning he no longer had first choice of available hours. This substantially hurt him. He is now “Premiere” getting the last choice of hours for next week, which sometimes means “no hours”. He only hoped he’d get enough web development work in place. After getting to the Air BnB he called it a night, caught up on Vikings, and collapsed in exhaustion.
He learned in the news that this Coronavirus was getting out of control in China.
