Oisin and Cian are up early, even though it’s a late start day with Cian’s e-school. Cian wanted to watch cartoons before classes. He also played stick bots and Kick the Buddy. Dad made them pancakes, bacon, and orange juice for breakfast. The winds were bad early morning, so dad struggled with putting out and packing up the decorations. Dad did accounting, billing, troubleshooting websites, and client work while Cian was in his 10-11:30 class. Cian worked on independent study and the duo resumed carving jack-o-lanterns … this time with the large pumpkin. Dad photographed and scanned in Cian’s homework for his teacher, While Cian was doing school work, dad prepared for tomorrow’s costume sale and cleaned up the warehouse. Poor Cian was suffering from massive headaches in the morning. Too much screen time dad thought. Today was day 2 of doing Jack-O-Lanterns, this time the large pumpkin. Cian remarked that the adult pumpkins didn’t have as much guts and seeds as the baby pumpkins, asking dad why. Cian braved cutting the top off himself, as well as cleaning out the guts – even though he was super grossed out and threw a little fit. He did a great job. They collected the seeds for roasting later. Dad didn’t understand why the pumpkin slime grossed Cian out since he always plays with slime. Oisin chats with his neighbor about the differences between charcoal and gas grills.

Dad worked until 3-4 am getting the garage ready for the costume sale. Creating signs, laminating them, and putting them out down the street. He went through a 2 liter bottle of Coke to stay awake, even though he’s trying to quit soda – not good he thought.
