Ferndale-Bellingham, Washington;
Surrey / Burnaby / Vancouver, British Columbia.
The duo have a mellow morning at their place in the Mt. Baker Wilderness, then head off under the overcast skies towards Ferndale, Washington. Pitstopping at the Ferndale Public Library, where Dad prints out the travel authorization form Mom sent for King Cian. Cian finds a cartoon anime book he wanted to check out. Dad guided him in getting his first library card he can own himself. They check into GrubHub with no offers so they drop on by the Starbucks where a barista gifts King Cian the excess of dad’s Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappacino as his own drink. Formerly not liking that particular treat, Cian newly grew a liking to it.
After settling in they get an offer, driving on into Bellingham to do food delivery. Inbetween deliveries they get a chance to do some grocery shopping at Grocery Outlet and play together at Cornwall park, getting paid to await offers. They finally get one just as King Cian was about to play with another kid in the park and wanting to show him the Robo Dino he got from Santa.
King Cian was very excited to meet Elaine, a new friend in B.C. who is 2 years older than him. He said he was very excited to play Minecraft and Rob lox with her. Oisin heard back from the lawsuit against a gig economy company with some so-so news that it may or may not be taken seriously.

After doing an Applebee’s delivery in Bellingham which took them up north to Lynden near the Canadian border for drop-off they decided to just head on over to Canada.
King Cian gets his allowance and cut of the delivery earnings being in awe how much he had. The duo then hit the Canadian-U.S. Duty Free at the border. Dad grabs some Bushmill’s for his Druid rites and King Cian gets a collector’s toy truck. Both Oisin and Cian gets their money converted to Canadian. The King was ecstatic that he got $23 Canadian for his $18 USD.
They crossed on into Canada. The border guard had issues with the permission letter not being the original notarized copy and almost doesn’t let them go across. They are given the benefit of a doubt and allowed in.
They then head across to go for a swim at the Guilford Recreation Center in Fraser Heights. After a long swim playing in the play pools, lazy river, and deep end with the rafts; water slide racing, and fun together on the floats they head off to Burnaby. They stop off at Baba Sweets in Burnaby for an Indian Dinner. Cian was not impressed with Indian food. He would not try the somosas and veggie Pakora that dad ordered them. So he ordered him Chicken wings which he ate, while dissecting off the foliage and spices fro the skin.
Oisin was perplexed at the variances of recreation center’s pools in Washington State, Colorado, and Vancouver, B.C. He was impressed that Canada is much like Denver, Colorado where you pay a low admission fee to drop in for a all day open swim, swimming as long as you like. All the Recreation centers and pools he’s visited from Seattle to Bellingham has only 1-2 hour windows once a day for open swim. The rates are twice as high as both Colorado and British Columbia for that one-two hours of swimming, and they always have to show up a half hour early in order to get in. He couldn’t understand Washington State’s logic, as the pools are not necessarily smaller in Washington state.
The duo was originally going to head over to the Van Dusen Festival of Lights, but the high winds cancelled the event. They fought the winds and then headed over to hang out with Bernie, Jay, and Elaine in Burnaby. The kids played Minecraft, Fortnite, and Roblox video games together and got acquainted.
