Oisin was exhausted after yesterday’s packing up of storage to move from Techno Tink storage in Elizabeth, Colorado to Techno Tink Headquarters in Sumas, Washington. They were up early regardless, as they had to move the car and Uhaul so that the bus could pick up the kids in front of the house. Cian and Oisin drove around the block. They returned to the house to ready their journey on to Washington state. Cian had his 10-1230 2nd grade zoom e-school class in the backyard while dad had a client meeting over the phone. Bath and Shower, leftovers for breakfast, and Cian did remote learning. The day got hot, so they dressed down into T-shirts. They could still smell a thin veneer of smoke from the wildfires in the mountains. Client work, client meetings with potential new clients, blogs, and vlogs. It was a busy afternoon.
Across the street, the neighbors had fantastic Halloween decorations – Pirates in the hood. After running to a mailbox center with Allison to set up their businesses’ mailing facility, Allison notified Oisin he left his laptop there. He literally freaked out. She luckily brought it to him that evening as they met for her birthday celebrations. 1230-2:15 Cian had independent learning. Dad made Hotdogs for lunch. Cian worked on Dream Box and the Kids A-Z self-learning programs. Dad Prepping the car for the road trip while Cian finished his 2:15-2:45 zoom Library class. They then got ready to take Allison to see Tenet as her birthday gift.
They drove on to the Westminster AMC theaters (which were impressively open but at 25% capacity) and had some time to await Allison. So they grabbed some frozen yogurt as an after-school treat. Once Allison arrived they took her to Tuk Tuk Thai for a birthday dinner, then treated her to a showing of “Tenet” at the AMC. Dinner and movies as a birthday gift.

Dad had the Chicken Satay and Massaman Curry. They both indulged in Thai iced teas. The movie was good but very long, not the greatest start to a road trip. It had an intriguing concept that fascinated them all. They had some birthday cocktails to celebrate Allison’s birthday. The movie theater required masks when not eating or drinking, had sanitized seats and surroundings. They pit stopped at Target on the way out of town so Cian could use his earnings to buy a Treasure X Alien dissection kit. Farewells were said, and Oisin headed north with Cian. They stopped for the night car-camping at a rest area outside of Laramie, Wyoming. A dark windy night with cold winds.
