Sumas, Washington – Bellingham, Washington
Oisin was kid-free today, the once in blue moon times of recent when Cian was at his mom’s. He was exhausted from Yesterday’s hike and just life in general. So he overslept until 11 am this morning. He finished watching “the Vow” on Netflix, then caught up with the news. More Trump drama, Capitol invasion news, Epstein, and other political madness. He made an Avacado-mushroom omelet for breakfast with Orange Juice.
That afternoon he drove into Bellingham for his 4:30 pm – 8 pm Grubhub gig shift. It’s usually lucrative on Sundays. This shift worked out to about $30/hour (before gas/expenses). Once back home, he was exhausted though and didn’t tackle the rest of the task list he hoped to accomplish. He caught up with Stephen King’s series “The Stand” and passed out early from exhaustion. He was hoping to get a lot accomplished while Cian was at his mom’s house.
In the News: The Nation is at high alert bracing for violence in the upcoming days, National Guard activated around the Capitol grounds as FBI warnings of armed protesters and far-right groups are preparing to act up in the days of Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday. After the earlier attack on the US Capitol leaving 5 dead, this time they are not taking any chances. There already was a man arrested without inauguration credentials in D.C. holding an unregistered handgun with 500 rounds of ammo. Investigations into the Capitol Riot are ongoing, investigating whether or not government leaders and law enforcement gave visitors access to the building ahead of the riot. Trump plans to leave the White House for the final departure on the morning of the inauguration, with the worst approval rating at 29%. Impeached twice, being held accountable for what he said, insurrection, being banned from Twitter, it’s a mess. In the Covid realm, the U.S. is nearing 400,000 coronavirus related deaths. Vaccine shortages amidst rising infections, Joe Biden announced a Covid 19 vaccination blitz promising more vaccination sites, National Guard troops, and a Federal push to produce more.
