Sumas – Deming, Washington
On his own, as Cian was with his mom, Oisin had the weekend to himself. He was up pretty early, so did some accounting and bookkeeping, then an hour long dispute call with Credit One who claimed to have sent him a card several times over the last couple of months but never received it, and now they want a large annual fee. Oisin told them to cancel it, withdraw the application, and stop contacting him. They were hesitant and seemed to persist. It was so annoying, but they said they would (but they didn’t and kept pressing for an annual fee for a card they didn’t deliver and he didn’t use. He paid up his bills, figured out his gig work schedule. After the bookkeeping, accounting, and chores he headed out to meet some fellow Druids. He met up with Jack and Greggory at the service station in Welcome, Washington. They then caravaned to Racehorse Falls. The trio took a hike to Racehorse Falls near Deming, Washington. Racehorse was Beautiful Falls, stunning magical forest, combined with camaraderie and good friends. They also did some mushroom hunting albeit off-season. Oisin jumped in and got his head wet in the cold waters for a winter cleansing and blessing. The trio talked about Spirituality, politics, and the world at large.
Afterward, Oisin raced home to Sumas to get work done. He watched the HBO series “The Vow” about the NXIVM cult and was disappointedly shocked about Allison Mack’s involvement. He was a fan of hers in the past. Beyond disappointment. He continued Blogging, vlogging, housecleaning, and warehouse cleaning until 1:30 am. He was sad that Cian wasn’t there, and had a bit of loneliness.
In the News: a divided United States over the Trump chaos and invasion of the Capitol waterlogged the news. The last days of the Trump presidency began their countdown. State governments were braced for potential violence in the upcoming days, National Guard troops began gathering at the Capitol grounds in response to FBI warnings of chatter threatening armed protesters and far-right groups. Law enforcement began vetting hundreds of potential airline passengers and enhancing security at airports. A militarized green zone was set up in downtown Washington to prevent attacks from domestic extremists. Investigations into the Capitol riot continued and investigated whether members of Congress inappropriately gave visitors to the Capitol ahead of the riot. Trump will be leaving the White House with the worst approval rating of his presidency at 29 percent. Biden plans his first 10 days of office to send off numerous executive orders to make a clean break from the Trump era – on the first day alone, planning to rescind the travel ban over several predominantly Muslim countries, rejoin the Paris climate change accord, and extend pandemic related limits on evictions and student loan payments, with pushing the 1.9 trillion stimulus plan.
The pandemic is expected to have upwards of 400,000 corona-virus deaths in the United States within a few days. Mayor Bill de Blasio of NYC claims the city will run out of doses soon and a race to vaccinate every America is on, especially before a more contagious variant spreads across the country. Federal officials warned the variant coming out of Britain is projected to become the dominant source of infection in the United States by March.

Racehorse Falls, Near Welcome and Deming, Washington State. A beautiful short hike in the Pacific Northwest’s rainforest, climbing trails along a mushroom-rich fern gully with a magnificent waterfall as its destination. Easy to get to, relaxing, mesmerizing.
