02.13.20: Sonic, School, Meltdown

Early to rise, Oisin didn’t have to pick up Cian this morning as Etain was ill and called in sick to work. She brought Cian to school for drop off and he had an absolute meltdown that dad wasn’t there to drop him off. Dad tried to call Etain to offer to bring him to school anyways, but she never answered the phone which is a common communication issue for them. Dad had decided to do some dashing in the area for an earlier shift he grabbed and was just down the street. It was low pay, well below minimum wage, so he clocked out and cancelled the rest of the shift with Doordash. It wasn’t worth doing even though he was desperately low on funds and needed cash to avoid overdrafts and get bills paid in time.

Since he was unable to get in touch with Etain and Cian, he continued and Dashing went into Kent, Washington. The side benefit to this kind of work is that if one is in between deliveries and jobs, they have plenty of time to explore the local area and sight see. For Oisin that meant tourist photos. In between the dashes he learned the history of Kent. Intriguing he thought. Then calling it quits, doing some grocery shopping, he retired for the rest of the day at Starbucks doing Web Development work, vlogging, and research. He had enough loyalty points built up to get a free Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappacino. At 3 pm, he went to pick up Cian from school and they went to a different Starbucks.

They worked on Valentines cards for Cian’s classmates at school while splitting a grande Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappacino for their day’s energy push. They reserved tickets to the sneak preview of “Sonic the Hedgehog” at the AMC South center using their free movies for the week on the AMC A-List.

Oisin and Cian headed off to the Southcenter AMC to use their AMC A-List pass watching Sonic the Hedgehog. Great movie they thought (4.5 stars out of 5 stars). After the movie, Oisin dropped Cian off with his mom, and called it an early evening. Quick dinner, some web development and vlogging, he passed out to watching the Netflix series : Locke and Key.
