Renton – Burlington – Maple Falls, Washington
Oisin was up by 5:30 am, got Cian by 6:20 am, and they hung out together at the Air BnB napping and playing before late start school at 10 am. Dad volunteered as a teacher helper for the day – assisting with the Valentines, homework, and class activities. They checked out of the Air BnB and began the start of a 10 day winter break, part 2. Cian got lots of valentines from his classmates so he was pretty happy. They played chase, tag, cops n robbers with his friends. After school they raced to get on the Interstate to beat rush hour. Once north, they did the two for six dollars deal – including the Impossible Burger. They experienced on/off mixed weather during the trip.
When they arrived in Burlington, Dad decided to check how busy dashing was there, it was … so he flipped around and went to do some Doordash as they had decent bonus pay offers. They did some Grocery shopping at Grocery Outlet and headed home, grabbing Ice cream and Root beer float deals from AW/KFC in Bellingham on the way home, feeding their addiction. Unfortunately the foothills and valleys of the Mt Baker Wilderness had lots of rude crazy drivers messing up the road. It was unsettling.. Unpacking, Popsicles for dessert, and finishing “Locke and Key” was the result of the evening. (rating 5 stars out of 5)
