Up again by 5:30 am, Oisin awaited for Etain to drop Cian off. They were a bit later today than usual, and Oisin had him by 6:40 am. They didn’t nap this time – instead went into the Starbucks and had Ham and Sausage breakfast sandwiches with a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappacino they split, topped off by their venti water cups. They worked on homework and then dad took Cian to school, dropped him off at 8:30 am, then headed back to Starbucks to do Web Development work, vlogging, and research. Oisin experienced some accounting issues – having his car insurance payment auto deduct sooner than he expected and being locked out of Geico’s postponement feature. That will hurt his account and likely cause Overdrafts he feared. A friend lent him enough until a check came in so that it wouldn’t overdraft.
Oisin began exploring different programs to host meetings online and share screens. “Join.me” was buggy and not working properly. Everyone von his Facebook recommended “Zoom”. So he installed that and it worked like a charm.
Oisin did a training session with a vendor on WordPress and WooCommerce, utilizing the WooCommerce Markeplace Software – investigating online auction software, and category issues he was having with the WordPress Theme: Broadsheet his client had chosen to use. After doing the online work, he signed in for an hour or two Doordash shift befire going to pick Cian up from school. Dashing late afternoon payout was ok and worth the break to do it. He grabbed a late Lunch from the Safeway deli trying to avoid fast food. He continued into the afternoon doing Web Development work, vlogging, and helping a client customize their email accounts.
Oisin’s eye hurt badly and it appears he cut it in the crease/eye fold, so it was red and swollen, itchy and irritating. Not good he felt. He went to pickup Cian at 3 pm, and they took a hike along the Riverview Park and Cedar Trail off Maple Valley in Renton. Cian claimed to be the King of Staves, grabbing fallen branches making hiking sticks and staves out of them. He wanted to play fight with dad, wrestle and play boxing. Full of energy, Oisin tried to escape up a muddy slope and Cian followed … having to be rescued by dad as he kept slipping. They went down to the picnic area and played at the tables, Cian pretending the sticks were possessed and activated by the God Thor, bringing to life a self-created “Ritual of the Sticks”.
After Cian’s rite in Riverview Park along the Cedar Trail, discovering “Sticks of Doom” – a ritual done by King Cian to “Summon the God of Golden Stuff”. They headed back across the bridge and drove to the Air BnB. They sat down together to do homework and watched “Hops”, played with Fortnite figurines, and army soldiers. Afterwards, Etain dropped by and picked Cian up. Dad made himself some dinner and sat down to an evening of working on client web sites, web development of his own sites, and a little Vlogging.
Dad’s energy rapidly declined and was experiencing internet issues so watched some previously downloaded episodes of Naked and Afraid, then continued with the Netflix series: “Locke and Key”. (5 star)
