Early to rise and off in the freezing pouring down rain. Had to run back in to grab an umbrella and wet clothes. Rustled up enough 1.90 Euro to grab the bus into down at Dawson street for the Starbucks there. Was thinking of working at the Harcourt Starbucks, but there is only one electric socket, and it’s quite a ways from the Film Base where we’d be meeting for Shakefest.

I achieved quite a bit for the time I was in Starbucks on Dawson equip with a Venti Chai Creme Frappucino. Super energize! Left just after 6 pm, and pit stopped at Yum Thai for a 5 Euro student helping of Pad Thai … I ate with my chopsticks in the rain en route for Film Base. Few people stopped me off Grafton street asking where I got the Pad Thai. (Best Pad Thai in Dublin so far) On to Film Base, I got there early. Seems the cafe owner has installed a password for the wifi most likely because of me and the team of Shakefest who are using “his” space after-hours and I suppose he doesn’t like people using his free wifi if they aren’t buying coffee. He closes before the meeting happens.

Smiley and Terri arrived just around 7, as well as Shelley, giving us a productive meeting over what we need to do for the festival preparations. Festival of Fires this weekend … soooo excited. Got out of the meeting early, Eadaoin’s mom bailed out her car from the impound (over a grand in Euro to get out – and her penalty is now to give her car to her sister making us car-less) so she went to move it. Her meeting went well and we got some grocery funds for the week. Eadaoin surprised me with a lovely courgette-mushroom-tomato quiche for dinner. After dinner, we retired to watch the tv series episode one of “Death Valley” about cops taking down werewolves, vampires, and zombies. Really bad. really really badly done. Uggh. :: pass out::
