Dublin, Ireland
Early to rising, we finally arose out of bed just after 8 for a productive day ahead. Eadaoin was awake before me for once, and I was having a hard time getting out of bed. We were out of the house shortly after 9 to cruise Camden street for some fabric remnants I spied the night before we were hoping to dumpster dive this morning to nab for the wish tree we plan to make at Shakefest later this month when we put together the Faerie glen and Madhatter’s Tea Party.
But alas, the dump trucks beat us to it as the streets were clear of recycling … Onwards towards UCD for some time doing wifi at Uni with getting some blogging, job hunting, and catching up after that crazy Pirate Relief madness over the last few weeks that literally drained every bit of energy out of us. Really disappointed that we were canceled on the Dragon’s Den since Moe couldn’t help pitch. I suppose next year we can give it a shot.
We worked at Uni until about 6 pm, then headed off to several areas to get Freecycle goods offered – a swivel business chair, a great computer desk, then off to Dunne’s for groceries. Out till after 10, groceries in stock, lots of work ahead tonight, and nabbing a bookshelf, microwave, kettle, and toaster tomorrow (hopefully:: fingers crossed::). I’m drained. Trying to find income to flow again. Things are looking up, Beltane rite last night went well, hopefully, prosperity in the air.
The dilemma about the job offer that starts next week – they don’t pay for the 1st day (training), and it’ll be two weeks to get the minimum wage paycheck that has to be deposited into an Irish bank account. Knowing how long Raneleigh Credit Union takes to clear checks, probably won’t see access to that money for a month. The big dilemma too is that I really feel Microsoft might be offering me something, and I have an interview with the Museum of Art next week as well. If I take the Total Fundraising position, how can I do the interview? frustrating … when it rains … it pours. But that is a good thing…
