Dublin, Ireland

Still suffering from over-sleeping. But in many ways, it’s really not “over-sleeping”. I am getting about 7-8 hours of sleep, it just has been going to bed around 3 am every night that is causing it. It’s a tough struggle – I get a lot of stuff done at night like to watch movies with my love, and before I know it’s so late. But in order to enjoy the beautiful “Irish spring”, I need to get up early, especially if I want cost-benefit to take advantage of Starbucks internet time and their hours of operation. It’s a tough dilemma. Also, I feel I need as a master of my own self-employed business to have to put in 10-12 hours of work every day.

I did manage to get out the door by noon. I walked 25 minutes down Lower Rathmines Road across the Grand Canal and over to my “usual” Starbucks. Beautiful day, flowers in bloom, spectacular clear skies, and everyone wearing shorts and t-shirts. Definitely, my agenda to start dressing cooler. My “seat” (the only seat in the Starbucks that has a plug – don’t know why they design Starbucks with little to no plugs in that they push their free-wifi as a draw-in) was clear, no one to compete for it with. Nestled in and got my “Dragon’s Den” series downloading as well as the most recent “Being Human”. Ordered my usual … which the barista remembered and asked … “Your usual?” which is a Venti Chai Creme Frappucino. It’s a typical American drink apparently here in Ireland as only Americans order them. They are a bit high priced … 5.10 Euro which is about $7.50 USD. Sucks when you’re not bringing in the right income to cover such costs.

Times are tight, funds are limited. Blessing though is I have my residency and can now work legally here in Ireland. But the tough step – finding a job in a recession? Meanwhile focusing on getting my blogging, ads, photos, and donation ads are seen so the work I do writing, blogging, and travel tales will pay off. Ultimately it would be nice to get the income to finish my books and have them published, get more paid articles/blogs, donations coming in, and ad revenue to increase in payment. :: sigh:: The struggles can tax your system for sure. It is nearly a year since I quit being a military scientist and took off for my round-the-world travels and adventures. I have to find a way to make this all work.

I got some more AdSense ads programmed into the blogs today, worked on the ultra-secret project for Pirate Relief coming up, getting the word out for “Shake Fest Festival we’re a part of in May, and applied for 6 jobs (mainly Web Developer) around Dublin. Interesting articles abound online as recent discovers find bipedal pre-human-like new species dating from the time of Lucy, planning out getting involved in the International Pillow Fight in Ireland including perhaps to travel down to Tramore’s Pillow Fight, looking into joining the Bards in the Woods Ireland, Say What’s Not Being Said, Super Foods Your Kids SHould Be Eating Now, The Hobbit Trailer, and Forest Blending Acryllic Glass Statues.

I did manage to finish the latest Chronicle from Down Under, updates on my Koala article, and updated my Eucalyptus article, as well as staging new articles for tomorrow.

With 5:30 striking, decided to leave Starbucks early heading on over to the Swan center in search of a blender as I want to start making my own Coconut spread to replace butter with. I miss my RV and having all my household stuff accessible. Not sure how I’m ever getting it all over to Ireland. Found one for 20 quid. Then on to Dunnes to pick up some stuff for dinner. Decided to get Organic Irish beef to make burgers tonight for me and E as found some on sale, as well as some close-to Gluten-free bread on sale for 79p a Soya bread, and some pre-made pancakes which seem to be a culinary addiction to many Irish. More Coconut milk drink for tea. Some low-calorie Chocolate covered Rice cakes (another addiction of mine since moving to Ireland).

Got home around 6:00, gave E a massage as she had to do physio today for her pulled back, and have a shower. She passed out 10 minutes into the 40-minute massage. Went and watched my most recent Being Human and Vampire Diaries episodes to catch up. As E awoke around midnight, we heated up some pancakes for a late snack and went to bed to watch “This Is Not a Movie”. What a twisted view of a man gone crazy locked up in a Las Vegas hotel awaiting the apocalypse. Started passing out to the show, no change in changing getting to bed earlier.
