04.23.16 surveys and groceries

Saturday, 23 April 2016
Klamath Falls, Oregon

The usual ritual continued of Sir Thomas being quiet as he left the motel room leaving the Prince and Lady Etain sleeping soundly, his usual meeting with the archaeological survey crew at the breakfast buffet, and the redundant breakfast of scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, biscuits and gravy washed down with orange juice and a pocketfull of fruit for the field. Lady Etain kindly made him a sack lunch again which he was very appreciative of. They climbed into the work trucks, skiddled and slipped down the BLM roads, and got to their survey area. Hiking over 10 miles each for the day, recording lithic scatters, trash scatters, and cairns.

After work, the explorers dropped by Albertsons for some groceries. They grabbed Burger King for dinner since Lady Etain and Sir Thomas didn’t feel like cooking. The usual routine of reading the Prince bedtime stories, watching cartoons and movies, and Lady Etain breastfeeding him to sleep while Sir Thomas worked on paperwork. Sir Thomas usually is always the last to go to sleep.

Mileage: 6
