04.22.16 The Princes’ friday

Klamath Falls-Bonanza, Oregon

Sir Thomas achieved his usual morning ritual of slipping out of the hotel room so Lady Etain and the Prince wouldn’t wake. It was pretty important as the Prince would freak out if “Daddy” left. Sir Thomas went to meet up with the crew in the breakfast buffet at the Days inn for his usual serving of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffle, oatmeal, yogurt, orange juice, and fruit for the field. They hopped into the work trucks and headed off to Bryant Mountain to conduct archaeological surveys on the fields and mountains. The roads were rough getting out there. Cattle from local ranchers destroying the natural resources as they rent from BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and cow turds everywhere to avoid. Usually the archaeologist needs to worry about snakes, but in most of these fields it was cow turds. Natural springs trampled with cow crap. Sir Thomas Leaf was disgusted. There were some natural views with panoramic pleasure though and that made it worth it. The crew spotted a cougar and was a bit concerned with their safety as it was in their survey area, so the crew chief had them go survey a different area for this date. After work they headed back to the hotel.

The adventurers went to Fred Meyers after work for groceries and to get Cian his “toy” friday that he gets every friday when he’s been good and on task through the week. He had a blast trying out toy cars to ride in the store. They had a good time and headed back to the hotel room. Sir Thomas was pretty spent. After playing with the Prince and his new toy car set, Lady Etain breastfed him to sleep while Sir Thomas worked on internet stuff.

In the News, it was reported today that the musician without a name – formerly known as Prince died unexpectedly at age 57. It was a sad day. The U.S. President Obama visited England today to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday. It was also a time of questioning by the Brits whether or not to stay in the European Union. At the same time England celebrated Shakespeare’s 400 year legacy with parades, fireworks, and open air performances. World leaders gathered together on Earth Day to sign a climate deal aimed at capping the increase of global temperatures at 1 1/2 – 2 degrees. At the same time it was discovered that Volkswagon cheated on pollution tests and Mitsubihi exagerating its fuel efficiency.
