Dublin, Ireland
The last few months have been a whirlwind. I know I’m behind in writing to you dear Journal. I plan to catch up. As of late, a lot has been taking place as I’ve relocated to Ireland. I now have residency here. I now have the ability to get a job. My PPS number is in the mail. As is that long-expected refund check from Aer Lingus when United overcharged me for luggage by $300. I’m not even knowing where to start to catch up with you. I’ll try.
This morning was another of sleeping in. This has become quite a chronic problem. I’m not sure what to do about it. We even went to bed early. It was speeding out the door to hop on the bus afternoon to head off to my “coffice” for chai n’ wifi and getting some blogs done. Blogs for Ninerniner are due by the end of the month and in order to get paid, need to get my quota written. In addition, quite a bit of catchup needed on my own sites and blogs. Wherever is there time? I’m still writing about Australia.
The bus was 1.90 Euro and not much more than a 10-minute ride. Looking around for the Post to return a package, and couldn’t find one, but with deadlines in the air, figured needed to get to work. Settled in at the Starbucks on Dame Street for my infamous Venti Chai Creme Frappucino I’m addicted to. They got it right this time around. It’s a pretty dead set giveaway if you order one of these in Ireland or the UK that you’re an American.
Much progress today as new blog posts on Sir William Colin MacKenzie, Candlemas/Imbolc, Durabaculum Imthurmil, Dublin’s LaTouche Bridge, Spire of Dublin, James Larkin Statue, Viking Splash Tours, Sir John Gray Statue, and Obrien Statue in Dublin on O’Connell Street. Offered to be interviewed tomorrow by Anja on her film project “I don’t give an Sh*t” so will see how that proceeds. I feel Spring in the air. It’s warm out and thinking tomorrow means Shorts. The flowers are beautifully in bloom. I can’t wait to get out and start exploring monuments again. Speaking of which, I am behind spiritually too … Never did a Spring Equinox Rite. That makes me sad. I have to break this sleeping in a rut.
Well, it is now 9 pm. An hour left at Starbucks before it closes its doors for the night and I walk 45 minutes home. Hopefully will be able to get a Chronicles blog completed by then. :: fingers crossed:: Tonight after dinner, plan to watch Episode 21 of Lost Girl and some more Dragon’s Den. Secret plans in the works to be revealed later …
On a fun side note … I sold a photo yesterday for $100. Always love when that happens. In addition, seems my photos are starting to gain attention as several different Flickr galleries have been adding my photos to their themes. Today an online portfoliolio of brotherxii has added a photo of my van Isis Adventure Thru Time … he’s got some great pics in there of other Toyota Vanwagons and other pics too … http://www.flickr.com/photos/brotherxii/favorites/with/6973479103/#photo_6973479103.
