Greenwood/Seattle to SeaTac Airport, Boston Airport, Dublin, Ireland
Early morning trek via Lyft from Eadaoin’s house in Greenwood, Seattle, to the SeaTac airport. Check-in of luggage went quickly, but the several security lines were tedious and exhausting. We found our gate, awaited, and they changed it on us twice without any announcements. Luckily, Eadaoin was on top of it and noticed. We got someone to exchange seats with us so the three of us could sit together on the Delta flight from SeaTac to Boston. I watched a bunch of movies, had a Curry Chicken and Quinoa meal for dinner, and caught some sleep.
Once we touched down in Boston, we had to take a bus shuttle to the terminal; luckily, we did not have to go back through Security. The international terminal had only 3 places to get food – I went to the Distillery for some Fish and Chips while Eadaoin and Cian got Italian subs/pizza. Once our 5-hour layover was over, we were back on the plane after yet another unannounced gate change. It’s like they want you to miss your flight.
The flight from Boston to Dublin was long. I sat next to a stranger; Cian and Eadaoin sat together a couple of rows behind me. More movies and sleep. By sunrise, we were touching down at the Dublin Airport. Although he said it hurt, Cian did well, with no troubles or crying from ear pressure.
