Sumas, Washington

The duo spent the day at home in Sumas, Washington – organizing the new live-work studio-warehouse space for the Techno Tink operations. They slept in a bit this morning, then up for cereal and orange juice for breakfast. They did a lot of house cleaning as they were going to have over their first guests during the pandemic – a gathering around the fire pit outside. Cian and his dad played chess and some Minecraft dungeons. They gathered kindling and firewood from the woods next door. Lunch was hot dogs and Izzie sparkling waters. Dad was unpacking stuff from the final load from Colorado discovering all of his old publications he made: Pirate Relief, Tree Leaves’ Oracle, and Archaeo-Facts magazines. He also found his collection of the Druid’s Progress and Green Egg Magazines. Finally, everything he owns is now located in one building – no more storage or scattered belongings around the world.

They started up the fire awaiting Jack and Greggory’s arrival. Greggory arrived, then Jack. They had Dolmas, Salmon, crackers, BBQ Chips, Trader Joe’s Wassail (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and some Izzie’s sparkling lemonades. They discussed ideas of starting up a grove, holding events again, and networking. They made offerings of old herbs to the fire spirits.

After the crew left, Oisin and Cian retired to some games of Minecraft Dungeons and called it a night.

In the News: Today marks a year since China discovered the Coronavirus and the pandemic started officially. It was also around the same time that the first articles of impeachment against Donald Trump were released. Now a year later, they are preparing the 2nd round this time for his role in inciting the mob that stormed the Capitol building. If it happens, this will be the first time a U.S. PResident will be impeached twice. The rioters of the Capitol had different perspectives, but the cohesive crew was their allegiance to Trump. By the end of the event, five had died, and many were injured. Most from the riot were arrested and charged, including 13 with federal charges. Facebook and Twitter banned Donald Trump from their platforms due to the “risk of further incitement of violence” at least through the end of his term. The more transmissible coronavirus variant is impacting Britain and is detected in 45 other countries, including the United States (8 states). The CDC and scientists dive deep into genomic studies to figure out what is needed to determine how prevalent mutations of the virus are spreading. This all speeds vaccine rollouts to keep caseloads from skyrocketing and hospitals being overcrowded. At this point, about 6.7 million adults in the United States have had at least one of the 2 doses of the vaccine. Various states are expanding vaccine eligibility, first starting with health care workers, nursing home residents, and the elderly. Los Angeles County in California had an incredible surge of cases, determining one coronavirus-related death every eight minutes with the city having one in 10 residents testing positive for the virus. Emergency rooms were overcrowded and not taking in new patients, most of who had to sit and tie up ambulances in the parking lot. Whilst in Chicago, some students return to school on Monday for the first time since March of last near. Disputes on whether to open schools or not are common. Today is day 2 of the search and rescue operation after the Boeing 737-500 Indonesian passenger jet crashed into the Java Sea. They found body parts and some clothes near the Thousand Islands.
