Maple Falls – Bellingham – Burlington, Washington

Early to rise discovering more snow and wintry weather Oisin questioned plans about the movies using his unlimited free movie passes at Regal and AMC. But he had to drive south to pick up Cian for school on Monday morning very early so decided to head down, watch movies, and crash in the car at the rest area outside of Burlington. In the morning he worked on video blogs, web development, managing logos, photos, processing images, and photo albums. He did a little client work as well. Snow storms pounded on him during the journey and several times almost slid off the road into the ditch. Around 4 pm he grabbed an order at Taste of India (6 miles round), then at 4:10 pm picked up from Taco Bell (22 miles round); 4:44 pm a double order at Fat Shack (21 miles round); a big order at Little Dog Coffee Company at 5:30 pm (32 miles round), and at 7 pm Fat Pie Pizza (31 mile round).

After doing some Grubhub deliveries in Bellingham, Ferndale, and Fairhaven with on/off winter weather making it much more difficult, he stopped off at the Regal Cinema in Bellingham to watch “Uncut Gems” (Review – 3.25 stars out of 5.). He had a broken tooth that was causing intense pain making it a much more difficult day.

Oisin worked his 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm shift with Grubhub but the snow storm started getting thicker and thicker. He dropped his 7:30 pm – 10 pm shifts, and headed south to Burlington. Between Bellingham and Burlington the roads got slick and slippery, over 24 cars slid off the road from the short 20 mile stretch between cities. He decided to sleep at the Marysville rest area to make the journey south safer. He used his AMC A-List pass to go see “1917” – rating it at 4 stars, tooth infection broken tooth pain..

Then he did some more deliveries, had a 10 minute call with King Cian, and drove south to Burlington, visiting the late night feature of “1917” which almost was cancelled due to the snow storm. Cars were slipping and sliding along the pass from Bellingham and Burlington. The night was cold and freezing as he wrapped himself in a sleeping bag, car camping at the rest area from midnight until 5 am. As his roommate informed him, Skagit county had cheaper gas so he filled up before bed.
