12.09.95: Weekend in the country

Saturday, 9 December 1995
Tallahassee, Florida

Saturday was a day of relaxation as Sir Thomas was overwhelmed with graduate school, planning for the holidays, preparing for Princess Breanna to go visit her mom, and getting work stuff caught up with at the National Park Service. Graduate school was taking its toll on him as was single parenting. They were back at the country house on Elena for the weekend, making it easy and enjoying life.

Sir Thomas couldn’t get Lady Hena off his mind, albeit he knew that she was just a friend, he had high hopes of a long future together with her globetrotting the world. She appeared to get along with Princess Breanna well, and that was good in Sir Thomas’ eyes. One of the reasons he doesn’t really date anyone is not to expose anyone not sticking around to Breanna, so he was more apt to wait for a best friendship turn into a romantic relationship. In some ways, it felt like this one was. He was being set up with a gorgeous woman named Crystal by his best friend Emily, but it was hard for him and Crystal to get together and actually date. There appeared to be interest from both sides, but Sir Thomas was timid and rarely made first moves so it was going nowhere.

Lady Hena wrote to him and revealed that she was no longer living with Sir Jason. He couldn’t figure out if they were separating or just living separately. He was intrigued. She pressured for reassurance that she and Sir Thomas would be traveling the world, doing festivals, fairs, Rainbow Gatherings, and Renaissance Faires. He was excited at that prospect too albeit well over a year down the road before it could manifest.

She stated she just bought a used car and was antsy for road trips, wondering if she could come up sometime – if she could, she’d clean his house for him. Sir Thomas didn’t need her to clean his house, he was excited none-the-less with the prospect of seeing her. She asked if he was still seeing Crystal, and albeit that “date” didn’t manifest into anything solid other than a potential, he was curious about her inquiry.
