11.07.95: Building friendships and re-assurances

Early to rise, Sir Thomas took the Princess to Kate Sullivan Elementary from their in-town home. He dropped her off and drove off to the National Park Service Southeastern Archaeological Center for a full day of work analyzing and identifying artifacts from various sites around the Southeastern U.S. that the National Park Service maintains. Graduate school too for his Master’s degree working on his thesis about the Ethnography of Wicca in the Southeastern United States took over most of his extra time and evenings. He didn’t really have time for dating or relationships as he was focused on raising his daughter, grad school, and work. There were a few women on his mind as possibilities or crushes, but most of them were bewitched by others, in relationships, or not available. He didn’t want to be bothered by it all but he couldn’t help it as he was a Pisces and addicted to love.

After school he picked up his daughter and they returned to their East Brevard street rental home that they were living in during the week so they could be in the school district for Kate Sullivan Elementary, supposedly one of the best schools in North Florida. Breanna was in third grade and seemed to enjoy her classmates but on/off would have issues with a girl who was bullying her. Dad was overwhelmed, no personal time and drained from single parenting, graduate school, and full-time work. He was, however, writing with one of his best friends, Lady Hena, and her boyfriend Sir Jason. It was always a bright moment to hear from them as he missed them when they moved back south. Times are hard and struggling students make a tough go at Florida State University but sometimes resources prevent them from finishing.

That evening, dad made pork chops, applesauce, and peas for him and his daughter. They did her homework together and watched a cartoon before bed. It was a good night. Dad worked on his thesis to the wee hours getting ready for yet another busy day.

The country home on Elena Drive he was converting to a folklore center with the main Druid Grove and a Fairy circle outback. There was a haunted trail and a pavilion tent for events. Blueberry bushes, blackberries, apples, and plums growing wild. He loved that land but it was quite a distance from school and work. The in-town home was settling great on them and they loved it. Breanna, however, kept asking her dad if she could have the country home someday, and he said sure as long as we’re still living there in the future. She was so excited.
