Weather: Sunny and overcast at times. High of 84 degrees, low of 56.
Early to rise, Sir Thomas Leaf, Lady Etain, and the Prince awoke around 6:30 am in their RV and began getting ready to head to the Leaf and Dragon shop to open up for the day. They had their bowls of cereal and shuffled out of their very cluttered RV and into the Ford Explorer.
Dad played with the Prince a bit in the campsite yard while Mom was finishing getting ready. They then drove on into Ashland to open the store by 8 am. They were exhausted. As they pulled up to the shop they startled a homeless guy sleeping in the bushes on the side of the building. They unlocked the building, turned off the alarm, put funds into the cash register, washed the windows, swept and vacuumed the shop. They flipped the “open/closed” sign to “open” and were ready to greet customers for the day. Once everything was settled, Dad walked with the Prince to the local library for story time while Lady Etain covered the shop. After story time, Sir Thomas Leaf and the Prince grabbed Starbuck’s Chai Creme Frappacino’s for the three of them and brought them back to the shop. They went to their responsibilities and ran the shop. The Prince played in his fairy forest cave under one of the display tables, Etain covered the front desk/cashier, and then worked on adding Jelling Dragon catalogue items to the web site and making sure Sir Rob’s items were priced/catalogued. Sir Thomas worked on adding Tree Leaves Oracle items to their web site. After a few hours, Lady Etain took the Prince for a stroll downtown while Sir Thomas manned the shop.
For lunch, Lady Etain ran to Taco Bell to grab their lunch for the day.
Customers were minimal and very few sales for the day. It was a bit disappointing. Sir Thomas took in the rent to the landlord and sent out bills for the beginning of the month with Amazon, Paypal, SOS Alarm. They shipped out two orders from the shop via Stamps.com for sales on Amazon.com.
Around 9 pm they began closing shop, vacuumed up the carpets, put away the valuables, and locked up for the night. They drove back to their campsite and called it a night – the three of them cuddling down to sleep in the tiny RV bed.
