08.02.14: Saturday at the Shop, Teriyaki

Saturday, 2 August 2014

Weather: Hot, sunny and clear

The merchants awoke around 7:30 am in their RV, made a quick breakfast on the RV stove, and then headed on into downtown Ashland for another day at the storefront from 11 am until 8 pm.

They dropped by a few garage sales enrout, picking up found treasures for the store. As they arrived at the store around 10:30 am, there were already a couple people waiting on them. Window shoppers, not purchasing customers alas.

Dad took the Prince to the library for a special kids reading time while Mom stayed back and watched shop. He dropped by Starbucks on the way back with Chai Creme Frappacino‘s for the family’s energy and treat needs. Later that morning, Sir Thomas watched the shop while Lady Etain took the Prince for a stroll downtown shopping.

The day was long with little sales. It definitely taxed them. The Prince took a couple naps in his fairy forest cubby under one of the display shelves. Daily he would go around and re-organize displays that his mom and dad worked hard to present. A constant struggle.

A few friends dropped in, they had a few sales, then closed the shop at 8 pm. They ordered Bonsai Terriyaki II for dinner and then they retired to the tarot room to watch movies on the big screen and camped out on the floor cuddling to sleep.
