* Elf Fest 2013, Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary, Needmore / Bloomington, Indiana *

Early to rise, Sir Thomas Leaf had set up their booth of treasures laying out all to be viewed. A walk around the grounds in the morning showed that everyone was sleeping in for the most part, shrines were erected, booths up but tarped closed, and the magic of the area was invigorating. Sir Thomas Leaf’s memories of these sacred grounds from his trip to Wild Magic in 2000 made him realize it was because of the Oracles held during that Wild Magick festival that led him originally to the Pacific Northwest, and again it is the direction that the adventurers are on track with heading towards again very soon. During Wild Magick 2000, shortly after separating and beginning divorce proceedings with Hena, the Bard of Sunflowers that Sir Thomas Leaf came to the Nature Sanctuary to vend. One of the covens from Chicago were holding a rite where one would meet the Greek Oracles. He proceeded down the forested path to meet various high priests and priestesses who had drawn down various entities within them – Herne the Hunter, the Green Man, Cernunnos, and down into a grove where a magic circle was laid out. The Gatekeeper told him to pick an Oracle – and he chose “The Mother”. The Mother Oracle, was a beautiful blonde woman who projected motherly energy so empowering that Sir Thomas Leaf was flabberghasted. Having never met her before, she went on to name and talk about Hena and what had happened with the failure of that relationship, and that Sir Thomas Leaf needed to go to the Pacific Northwest for it was from there that his true Twin Flame would come. Back in 2000, Sir Thomas Leaf then completed a quest that made him move to Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia … seeking his true love. He never found it. So Europe bound he trekked the world hoping to encounter true love. It was Burning Man of 2011 while hosting the Irish and being a fire boundary guardian that he met a funny little leprechaun who turned out to be his Lady Etain. He invited her back to the Irish camp “Tir na nOg”, fed her faerie food and drink, and in love they fell. He then moved to Ireland with her, was chimed in by the stones at the Stone of Destiny atop the Hill of Tara that she was his Twin Flame, proposed to her, and months later they married on a beach in a Druidic way. 5 months later they were blessed with becoming pregnant, and 9 months later gave birth to the Prince of Endurance. Now they arrive back to where the Oracles foretold the tale … Sir Thomas Leaf with his lovely bride Lady Etain, and Prince Cian – his mini-Me. It was definitely a magical time.

A day of vending, some decent sales, a new Pirate Relief member, the merchants were very happy. A walk around the Faerie garden provided playful energy, Cian – the young prince of Endurance was having a great time looking around at others and playing with his parents and exploring this fascinating sanctuary. Sir Thomas Leaf was re-inspired in wanting to create another one of these magical grounds some day in the near future for all to enjoy as a place where the Fae can play, live, meditate, and learn. He only hopes that he could find and build a place like this someday. He was also very impressed with the teepee-like self-composting toilets they built on the land (see photo in gallery below). The art, the theme stations, the shrines, circles, and camps that people set up were magical, whimsical, playful, and full of fae energy. What a great start to the trio’s quest for a Fae nest and community. They visited the may pole, the thunder dome, the community garden, the library, and partook of the 33rd year celebrations of Lothlorien’s existence here. They also discovered in the community hall an uncanny sketch of our good friend travel-ing elven bard – Sir Rob Wildwood. Of course this sketch, made 10-20 years ago, was of Sir Rod – but the resemblance crazy. (see photo below in gallery) A stop at 2 Bear’s Cafe for some soup, salad, and warm drink did them right. After closing up booth, they turned in early to the RV for a good night’s sleep.
