Redlands, CA – Loma Linda, CA – I-10 California – I-5 California
A Pleasant night’s rest at the Redlands Motel 6 – the explorers checked out at 11 am walking out into the bright sunshine. It was nearing 80 degrees Fahrenheit already. Laundry done thanks to Lady Etain, Sir Thomas Leaf packed up the festival wagon and attempted a swim with Prince Cian – but the outdoor pool was way too cold. Even the hot tub spa was not to the liking of the Prince of Endurance. Onwards they trekked through the Inland Empire looking for a place to store their Toyota Sienna van and merchandise to fill for The Tree Leaves’ Oracle web shop. They found an affordable storage straight away, moved the van in and unloaded their inventory, merchandise, luggage, and exploration gear into storage while Prince Cian bounced around on his tricycle, played cars, played with his train set, and toys while mom and dad worked hard on the gear, storage, and filling orders. A good dozen orders to fill so between unpacking, clearing, organizing, and order filling the merchants were worn out and it was already turning evening. The trekked around and decided to treat themselves to a sushi dinner at Happy Sushi to celebrate their new chapter and adventure they are about to take. An all-u-can eat sushi restaurant with some of the best sushi around Sir Thomas Leaf thought. A techno, bouncy, happy hole-in-the-wall … the service was great and crazy. The Prince of Endurance loved his miso soup, sushi rolls, and both of the boys gorged themselves. Then on the road into the darkness down the I-10 and onto the I-5 until Sir Thomas Leaf couldn’t drive any further … a pitstop at the rest area outside of Bakersfield where rest was had for the evening.
