Maryhill – Wanapum, Washington
Refreshed and alive with energy, Sir Thomas Leaf awoke Prince Cian and Lady Etain for the start of a new day. They were off to the north for another archaeological adventure in Washington. They had a good night’s sleep at the Oregon Motor Motel in the Dalles. They dropped by Circle K and Safeway for snacks on the road. A office supply run at Staples so they could ship out orders on the road. They drove East and hit Maryhill State Park for a tromp around the beach so Prince Cian could toss rocks into the water. From there they pitstopped at American Stonehenge for a burst of old world memories and energy, plus a breathtaking overlook of the Columbia River. They worked their way north and just before dark fall arrived at Wanapum State Park. Sir Thomas Leaf set up the trailor for camping, gathered wood, got a campfire burning, and the kitchen set up. Lady Etain gathered wood and started cooking while Sir Thomas took the Prince down to the beach for him to play until dinner was done. They then settled in for the evening under the stars to a blazing campfire. Roasting marshmallows and making smores, campfire tales, and family time. Tomorrow they would journey onwards to the work project and explore the Petrified forest.
