Ephrata / Coulee City, Washington
The delvers were up at the crack of dawn, checking out of the Knight’s Inn downtown Ephrata where they slept for the night. They piled into their car and headed north towards Coulee City. Their safeway fuel discount called their names, stopping for fuel to continue the journey.
The explorers pit stopped at the city park along the banks of the healing waters of Soap Lake for Prince Cian to play. Splashing some of the magical waters onto their faces, they prepared to head up Highway 17 to Coulee City where they checked into the A la Cozy Motel for the night. Lady Etain and Prince Cian settled into the motel while Sir Thomas Leaf packed up his archaeology survey gear and headed off with the crew for a half day survey in the wild. They climbed up and down hills and small mountains in transects looking for cultural materials dating over 50 years. They ran across some historic trash scatters, lithic scatters, and other items of interest. That evening, dinner and movies were had … with a pit stop to the convenience store around the corner for an ice cream nightcap.
