Colorado Springs – Denver, Colorado
Weather: Overcast with rain misting/showers. Low in the 40’s, high in the 50’s.
Sir Thomas drove up to Denver for the weekend visiting friends, dancing, and collecting his thoughts about the adventures ahead of him. Saturday he met up with his good friend Lady Christina, meeting her at the Marrakech Grill Lebanese Restaurant for a delicious meal. They caught up on good times and old, talked about his upcoming adventure, and made plans to hang out before he departed. Clock was ticking as it was just 2 months away and he would be Down Under and all over Europe. He might not come back he thought. There were the premonitions of marrying a Irish woman and a French woman. Could this happen on this trip?
Saturday evening he met up with friends for dancing at the Shelter – Milk Bar – Bar Standard. It was a darksome divine night of flirtations and fun. It was his weekend of unwinding from the federal work he did all week. Good times were had. He danced with Lady Christina, Lady Allison, and Lady Tarena. He got to hang out with his good friends. He crashed over at a friend’s and then on to a day in Denver hiking and hanging out with friends on Sunday. He realized how much extended family he had here in Colorado and while excited about his upcoming quest, knew it was going to be hard to leave. Sunday evening before heading off to the Springs, he stopped for dinner at his favorite Japanese fast-food restaurant, Tokyo Joe’s. Sunday evening he went to the Underground for more dancing and fun, seeing his Colorado Springs friends. He called the evening early as he had work at the crack of dawn.
