Weather: Overcast and dreary. Low in the 10’s, high in the 30’s.

As the weekend arrived, Sir Thomas spent most of it going through possessions and figuring out what to get rid of and what to keep. He would drive over to the RV lot daily and go through each of the boxes stored in the RV. It was a cleansing process. He spent meals with Lady Allison and Astranna, watching movies with them, and working on the GIS / Curation manual for work. He also mapped out routes and adventures where he wanted to go on his walkabout, though was keeping much open for spontaneity. He also made contacts through couchsurfing.com to coordinate places to stay for free.

Friday, 4 February 2011:

He finished up a day in the lab working on ArcGIS and Curation of artifacts. He continued writing the Curation Manual. After work, he settled in at Lady Allison’s, hanging with Princess Astranna, and getting some work done. Sir Thomas took a hike at the Garden of the Gods to ponder through his Mythic Cycle. Contemplations about the readings from Candlemas haunted him … the journey that lay ahead. He thought about Joseph Campbell’s theory on the cycle of Myth.

Two of wands:

Presently ideas are beginning to move in Sir Thomas’ life, having force, expanding – and the great quest for wisdom and knowledge is driving his quest. The event for him to leave his current position and go on a quest to the Down Under, seeking to learn lessons needed for his future, and to pursue academic explorations into the holy wells and sacred springs of Europe.

High Priestess:

Sir Thomas’ quest is driven by finding out the higher significance of something and he is striving to reach perfection. He should understand that this path is a difficult one and perhaps should for now reach for smaller goals before attempting the present one. In the proper circumstances this could signify a higher calling to be the Priest or to find his spiritual guide.

King of Wands (rev):

In his past, his quest for knowledge has not come to fruition and he had reached a level of stagnation. His quest will develop in the near future.

Death (rev):

Sir Thomas’ recent past of stagnation is influenced by the need to become who he is, learning more about his own present personality and why he is who he is. Personality will bring illumination to others by force and he needs to develop with charisma, acceptance of who he is meant to be, and his purpose in this life.

Judgement:

In the near future, around the time of his departure to Australia, Sir Thomas will embark upon a great spiritual awakening, gaining sight of something more than the physical with possible knowledge of former lives being revealed.

Three of Pentacles (rev):

This near future event will be influenced by a great loss of the physical, a minimalizing of his wealth and material possessions, and the opposite of acquiring land – but going nomad in his travels with boundaries being unmarked. He will have some struggles with feelings of greed, overemphasizing the material and should focus on the riches granted to him by his travels.

6 Wands (rev):

His current environment is surrounded by false pride and snobbery. He has become overburdened with too much pride in what has been learned and failure to see what remains to be learned.

The Fool:

His strengths however is that of the Fool, as today is the first day of the rest of his life. He begins a new chapter, a new book in his life and quest. He can move in whatever direction he’d like, and go anywhere or do anything. Anything is possible. His strength is his wanderlust and great sense of freedom he will embark upon.

6 of Swords:

His hopes and fears however, are that of self sacrifice and whether or not his steps into this adventure are the right actions. It is a leap of faith into spirituality, to better the world by action. He will experience a re-birth.

Wheel of Fortune (rev):

His final outcome from this quest will be the Wheel of Fortune reversed, Sir Thomas will realize his goals in life or at least become known of their existence even if it has yet to be discovered. It will be revealed to him.

Sir Thomas pondered these visions and knew he would soon figure out his divine purpose on the planet, why he is here, what his future will bring, and more life lessons to solve. He will also put to place his dreams of Pirate relief, sailing tall ships, archaeology, love, and family.

It was but a quiet night, a night of fellowship with Lady Allison and Princess Astranna. He slept good and had visions of his future.

Saturday, 5 February 2011:

Sir Thomas sought to meditate in nature. He headed over to Red Rocks Canyon and went for hike to ponder over his visions. That morning he headed into the canyons – the veins of the Earth, to figure out his upcoming quest.

Sir Thomas pondered on the final reading of Candlemas, using the Heart of Faerie Oracle and seeing the Past / Present / and Future cards. Past: The Shapeshifter (14), the Queen of the Golden Bough (1), The Prince of Shadows (rev)(11), Present: The Green Woman (30), COVER, the Big Behind, Future: The Hidden One (50), the Lady of Leprechauns (40), The Lady of song (rev).

The Shapeshifter:

Sir Thomas’ past was influenced by the Shapeshifter – Perceptions, illusions, and a seeking of his truth within. He has been struggling with a life caught between the light and the dark. He has been focusing on the sea – the ocean – the waters of life. His focus is on the sacred waters and how they flow within. He has experienced a great look within as to whom he is.

Queen of the Golden Bough:

In addition, the Queen of the Golden Bough has been ruling over his past – Driven by her crown of mistletoe representing healing and creativity, and a veil separating mind and body. There is a great sadness in Sir Thomas’ past, and he seeks a need to let out his sorrow in tears as a cleansing and healing. A progression from losing his own real solid self and getting past the pains he exerienced is needed.

Prince of Shadows (rev):

Finally in his past was the reversed Prince of Shadows, influencing his mind and thoughts – the seduction is soul bearing, deep insight searching for something, feeling lost and fearful of what lurks in the shadows – a tumultuous, dark, and addictive relationship with something that he needs to release and let go.

The Green Woman:

Presently the Green Woman is his muse, and oddly this card was drawn with his friend Kelly Lopez as an influence from Woodland. Representing subtlety, beauty, and fruition – a balance of the masculine and feminine energies are speaking out in his soul and a drive to connect with nature is his lure. A greening of the Earth and following her flow of energy and creativity is what Sir Thomas is experiecing building his inner strength. He needs to let her powerful gentle energy surround and nurture him and be strong in his convictions and gentle with how he presents them.

Topsy Turvey:

Presently his world has turned upside down, his reality has shifted and he needs to experience the forward and reverse of the planet which he embarks upon by going Down Under. Chaos and reality will shift in his surroundings and he will figure it all out after he’s turned upside down.

the Big Behind:

He is currently experiencing the Big Behind, and finding his inner child is a key at the moment – to have a lot of fun, tumble through life, enjoying it from all angles and points of view – not caring about what the world thinks of his behind – viewing life as a whole – past, present, and future all included.

The Hidden One:

Soon he will embrace the Hidden One, which represents a warning – tread lightly and beware of that which seems to be the reward of his quest. She will tug at Sir Thomas’ hair, tap his shoulder, and stick a delicate foot out to trip him up – she is there to awake Sir Thomas to “pay attention” with not just the physical world but his thoughts and emotions. “Stop and smell the coffee! Wake up!” Attention is in the details – read between the lines, look at the flags, and don’t get caught up in any self absorption tendencies.

Lady of Leprechauns:

At the end of his quest, he will meet the Lady of Leprechauns. She is a tricky being with tomfoolery, tricks, and hidden features Sir Thomas must be aware of. “They are tricky beings, sometimes helpful, sometimes misleading, and tellers of tall tales.” Sir Thomas must pay attention to his clear sight, foreknowledge, and faerie gifts being presented to him. The Leprechaun can be surprised, caught, and very rarely convinced to give up a pot of gold to the lucky captor, it is a rare and lucky person who keeps what the Leprechaun is forced to give up. When meeting her, Sir Thomas should think carefully about what he wishes for, as it may be wiser to thank her and walk away empty handed.

The Lady of Song:

Finally he will embrace the Lady of Song. Sir Thomas will embark upon a journey of song, and this will require his whole body to participate. He must listen to the universe. “Listen! What is your soul really singing?” He will need to connect his soul with his voice – this will make his magic sing. This will be his healing from the traumas he will experience from this quest.

Sunday, 6 February 2011:

Sunday Sir Thomas went into the lab to build up some hours and to work on processing data from the data collectors, worked on the GIS / Curation manual, and other items needing completion before leaving on his journey. That evening, he and Lady Allison went to the Underground’s Goth night for some dancing and drinking with friends. Camaraderie was had. the evil Satan worshiper who has for over a year now threatened to shoot up the club and its attendees if he didn’t get a girlfriend by March showed his face causing issues. This devil worshipping demon was kicked out of the club.

Monday, 7 February 2011:

Back to the daily work grind, Sir Thomas groggy from the night before showed up at work by 7:30 am, he continued processing data on the ancients. It was a accomplished weekend with much done, as steps were made further towards his journey down under. Around lunch time he took a hike at Cheyenne Mountain state park to work on his fitness as sailing the tall ships required good health and activity. He had to get a physical from the doctor to prove he was fit enough for life-threatening high adventure sports in order to take this journey.
