Dublin, Ireland
Early to rise, me and Eadaoin headed off for a walk in the hills above Dublin at the infamous Hellfire Club Forest. Weaving our way up the woodlands we soon found the Druidic standing stones and the ruins of the Hellfire Club. Creepy feelings and spiritual presence was felt as we walked around the ruins. Then exploring the backyard into the woods we found over 5 tents in separate areas that were charred remains scattered in the woods. What happened there? we explored the woods and combed for pine cones to use on art projects then made our way back down the woods.
A pit stop enroute towards Northern Ireland we feasted on packed sandwiches and snacks for lunch. Then on towards the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic, we visited St. Brigid’s Well and Stream in Faught visiting the mysterious stones, the stream, the stations of the stream, and climbing the hill up to the well to gather some of the sacred waters into our bottles. After absorbing the magical energy of St. Brigid, we headed back towards Dublin. Along the drive home, we stopped off to see where the mythical Battle of the Ford took place in Ardee between Cuchulainn and Fordia. Could feel the vibrations of the battles along the river front. Onwards down, just as dusk was approaching, we raced up the mythical Hill of Slain. Visiting the ruins of the abbey and the cathedral, as darkness feels feeling the ambient somber of the space. Back down the hill on to Dublin we pitstopped for some chai and wifi at Starbucks finally making our way home for restful sleep in our flat.
