Sumas – Ferndale – Bellingham, Washington

Early to rise at 2 am, Oisin worked on web development until 4:30 am, watching American Pie – Girls Rule while Cian slept, then went back to sleep. He thought about the concept of dating again – and still – Nope, not interested. It is odd how movies can trigger those thoughts. They awoke at 10:30 am and worked on the warehouse decorating for Halloween, and Cian played with his Roblox and Fortnite toys. Planning things out for the month was still delayed, as he didn’t know if Cian would be with him or not next week, as his mom wants to put him in some remote learning pods and/or daycare. She was also looking into getting some time off to spend with him. They took a work break and watched the Haunting of the Vidor house. They had corn dogs for lunch, sticking inside most of the day as it was pouring down rain. After warehouse cleaning, the duo headed into Bellingham for gig economy work. They did a 2-hour Grubhub session in Bellingham while also doing groceries and errands running from 5:30 pm -7:30 pm. They finished the two-hour shift by completing only 4 deliveries – Chipotle – Coconut Kenny’s – Chopsticks and taqueria. After deliveries, they played Cian’s Ding Dong game in the car, headed home, and watched Goosebump’s 2. For dinner, they made up Trader Joe’s Orange Chicken and rice. They had ice cream for dessert. Early to bed, Oisin set his alarm for 2 am, but never awoke. Some web development, and client work. A typical daily grind.

In the news, more upsetting events as the world literally has gone crazy, with the United States the most insane. Constant battles between Trump and President-elect Biden, attempts to get Trump’s tax records, and confirmation battles for Judge Amy Coney Barret. Trump ignores COVID-19 protocols, not concerned with health and safety, holidng big public events, unmasked, with no social distancing. Remember, he got tested positive for COVID-19 just last week. Ballot drop boxes have become a legal battleground – as Trump attempted to limit the availability of them. Hurricane Delta struck Louisiana harshly even though only a Category 2, it hit within 20 miles where Hurricane Laura hit weeks previously. Over 600,000 were without power on Saturday morning, with thousands more in Texas and Mississippi.

There have been more than one million new coronavirus cases in the last three days, with the world recording the highest total even in such a short span, according to the New York Times. A second wave hitting Europe as well, with recovery not expected to even start until 2022.
