Burlington – Bellingham – Maple Falls, Washington
Cramped sleep in the car – Oisin was up by 6 am and headed off to Mt. Vernon to go do a look. He decided to crash in the rest area parking lot as it made no sense to drive an hour to Maple Falls, then an hour return to go do the look, and an hour back (70 miles round trip). The Look was quick and easy taking about 10 minutes. Afterwards he checked out the location for the other look – confidential document delivery and they failed to put the apartment number on it. So he took pictures of the complex and submitted it. They contested it, claiming the apartment number was embedded in the private confidential letter (that he’s not supposed to read). Oisin was a little peeved about that. So he decided to take a movie break utilizing his 3rd free movie for the week via the AMC A-List pass, dropping in to the AMC in Burlington to see “Just Mercy”. Another screwup – as the theater informed him that the projector was broken so they couldn’t show the film that day. They gave him 2 free passes to make up for the inconvenience.
While at a Starbucks in Burlington, Oisin met an elderly woman who instantly hired him to create a website for her non-profit. She was an extremely overly trusting evangelical woman – interesting conversations about politics and the homeless she conversed with him.
Oisin then drove off to Les Schwab to see if they would switch his two good snow tires to the front, they however claimed the front were too bald and they couldn’t legally touch them. Dilemmas of driving in foul weather on bald tires. He was not happy. He drove off to Bellingham to conduct more Looks.

While in Bellingham, Oisin went to photograph a Look involving an intersection where a bicyclist was hit for the insurance companies. He dropped by the Arne Hannah Recreation Center for a swim and soak in the hot tub. Fishing for Grubhub deliveries, then a 3 pm look in Ferndale of a vehicle in a wreck, the exhaustion started getting to him. There was not much parking available as the streets were iced and snow-covered, little area to pull off on the side of the road to do deliveries. Three looks accomplished but the exhaustion go to him. After deliveries and looks – Oisin headed to the hills back to his place in Maple Falls. Deliveries were rough due to the icy roads, dizziness and fatigue got the best of him. He pulled into the Hawaiian BBQ grabbing some dinner to go as he drove into the mountains.
Back in Maple Falls in the Mt. Baker wilderness, he caught up with his roommate, then called it a night passing out to Vikings watching Lagatha’s funeral. It was an exhausting week.
