01.16.96: Making Rings

Tuesday, 16 January 1996
Tallahassee, Florida

Sir Thomas contacted his friends from the SCA, Sir Will and Lady Melissa, about casting, lost wax method, and solutions to making their own wedding rings. He met with Will in his blacksmith shop after working a full day at the National Park Service. Princess Breanna was playing outside with the dogs. Sir Will also had some old Flying High Circus tent remnants that Sir Thomas could use to make a Pavillion for the wedding. Sir Thomas was ecstatic.

Sir Thomas wrote that evening to Lady Hena to tell her the complexities of making rings and some ideas of what they could do. He was so deeply in love with her. He was, however, starting to realize there was a substantial age difference between him and her, wondering if that would be an issue. He felt right about her proposal to him and it was what he wanted.
