After a 9 day session in the field Leaf had 5 days off to do his own thing and prepare for his trip to Europe. The Quest awaited. On March 17th the Tribal Soiree was being held that evening at a local community hall and his Tribal Fusion instructor tried to encourage him to perform on stage. Inhibited by his weight and age, he wasn’t comfortable but had a good time at the Soiree nonetheless. He got new harem pants and outfit accessories. Originally he started taking the free Bellydance classes at Fort Carson, but the soldiers gazed at him with questioning eyes as he was the only male in the class and they hadn’t heard of men doing belly dancing. He found a local troupe to join and get more private lessons than in the middle of an Army gym. His interest at the time was to improve his dancing at the local Goth clubs and for health benefits. This would be his last Soiree for a while as he was soon off to Europe.
