Latin, French, and Egyptian Hieroglyphics

Young Thomas became obsessed with foreign languages, attempting to teach himself these different dialects – most of which he failed at with comprehension and pronunciation. This frustrated him dearly. He became excited that when he was to attend Middle School, he would enroll himself into French. Meanwhile he tried to learn Latin (scientific taxonomy primarily) Egyptian Hieroglyphics on his own.
