Ashland, Oregon – Shasta, California
The Fall Equinox, Sir Thomas Leaf, Lady Etain, and the Prince of Endurance headed off to Shasta celebrating the turning of the seasons with some good friends. It was a much needed day off from the shop, the trio went to Castle Lake to meet up with Sir Rob, Lady Kara, and Lady Kara’s friend they had not yet met. It took them a while to find the lake and met up with the Goddesses there. Sir Rob however, did not meet them as he was already off on an adventure going to the top of Mount Shasta. This of course changed plans as they had hoped to play cupid between their friends as they were all single. They talked up Sir Rob to Lady Kara hoping she’d be interested in him. She was having such a rough on/off time with her boyfriend, who then became her un-boyfriend, back to being a boyfriend. She complained he never contributed and she was caring for her. They seemed to have a rough time and she wanted to move on. Of course Sir Rob is a world traveler and hard to pin down to one location.
The Prince was excited to go to the beach of the lake as well as everyone. Sir Thomas and Lady Kara’s friend went swimming in the cold lake, but neither Lady Etain or Kara was brave enough to go all the way in. They dipped the Prince into the water, but it was too cold for him, so he instead played sand castles and tossing rocks into the water.
After a light picnic snack, the crew decided to try to hike around the lake. They got an 1/8 around and found the trail too difficult with the baby, so Sir Thomas, Lady Etain and the Prince bid them farewell heading back to the car to go find Sir Rob. They drove on through historic Shasta, then on up towards the mountain. Parts were snowed in so they couldn’t go all the way up. Cell signal was horrible so they had a hard time trying to reach Sir Rob. Apparently they passed him on their way up and his way down but didn’t see one another. They found lots of stacked cairns up on Shasta and a rock laid maze. It was most magical and empowering spot to be on the Fall Equinox. After contemplating the world and life, they headed back down the mountain. They stopped at some meadows on the way down finding sacred spots where there were prayer flags, cairns, and memorials to various pets.
As they entered the town of Shasta they finally reached Sir Rob and all planned on grabbing Thai Food at a restaurant off Main. They shared their days adventures and had a great time catching up. Just before dark they parted ways and Sir Thomas Leaf, Lady Etain, and the Prince went back to Ashland. A Good rest, they went back to their RV for the evening, resting up as they would open the store on Monday Morning.
