* Brushwood Folklore Center * Sherman, New York *
It was a day of rest and requiem for the brave adventurers who just yesterday daunted all over the majestic Niagara Falls, the Devil’s Hole, and river rapids. They returned late last night and slept in on this date of Independence. A quick run into Jamestown, they did their laundry and chai/wifi catchup whilst trying to solve an issue with their Virgin wireless air card that didn’t work. Finally, giving up on that contraption, Sir Thomas Leaf went with the Verizon mifi air card for his internet services for the trip. Stores were closing early, so the trio headed back to the fabled lands of Brushwood for rest and relaxation. Drum circle with a bonfire that evening, an enchanting walk through sacred ritual circles, the woods, a skinny dip in the pool, and the hot tub. They met a really nice elderly couple who invited them back to their camp for some beverage and talk. Home-made wine and booze, interesting talks, in the gnome couple’s circle and garden gnome sanctuary. Into the wee hours of the night, with dotted colorful arrays of explosions on the horizon from Sherman’s and Jamestown’s Fourth of July celebrations. The day of rest was well needed as the couple would embark back onto their trekk out west onwards to the Wisteria Pagan Sanctuary and to prepare for Bob Dobb’s Subgenius XXX festival and Starwood. Saunas, swimming, fires … the delvers had their rest.
