Early to rise, the adventurers were on the road in no time. Farewells to their amazing host Lady Amy who was up all night working on a wedding dress. The drive through Harrisburg was nice, the town scenic with art and history. In no time the delvers reached Hershey with anticipation of chocolate plunder. It was a bit difficult to find parking for their vardo at the Chocolate museum, but settled for the pay lot at the Chocolate Factory. They took the tour deals for the Chocolate Museum tour, Making their own specialized chocolate bar, Chocolate class 101, and the 3-d omnivision Case of the stolen chocolate bars. Even young prince Cian enjoyed the ventures. A pitstop afterwords for a cookies and cream shake, and buying up supplies for their journey with even some sugar-free Hersheys chocolate added to the mix. Some of the concoctions offered they have yet to see in the stores. Back on the road by 2 pm, they were soon headed through the lands of the Pennsylvania Dutch.

They pit stopped at Roadside America in Shartlesville Pennsylvania off I-78 to visit the first Amish settlement, stock up on some Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs (including some luck of the Irish ones). A cup of Joe at the old fashion diner bar within, and shopping around produced two Amish poppets for Prince Cian to play with. They were contemplating to visit the largest miniature village in the Roadside America stop-off, but couldn’t be bothered with the higher than its worth admission fee. A pit stop later threw Sir Thomas Leaf off his ‘quitting soda pop’ wagon as he discovered and purchased a case of Birch Beer which he hadn’t enjoyed for over 10 years. A worthy cause for stepping off the wagon momentarily he thought, albeit his body probably doesn’t agree.

Amish country, Pennsylvania

Driving along the Amish countryside was scenic, though they didn’t see many Amish. Hex signs above barns were commonplace, but due to lack of pullovers for the vardo/RV, Sir Thomas Leaf wasn’t able to take any photos. Just around the turn of dark, the weary travelers pulled through New York’s state line and made their way to Pearl River to visit Lady Etain’s cousins. A home warming heartfelt welcoming met them with dinner waiting and much conversation alongside wine. A late turning in after internet check, the fatigued adventurers settled down to sleep.
