Early to rise the well refreshed adventurers had a grand breakfast made by the lovely Lady Summer and Lord Ashran with great conversations into the morning. As a rush to get the younger clan off to their theater class, the adventurers drove on into town with Lord Ashran and Lady Karen on to the Berkeley Springs State Park to wade into the magical waters once frequented by President George Washington as a favorite spring. Temperatures were getting up in the 90’s so the springs were quite refreshing. Soaking their feet in the pools was a very healing affair, and as they approached the George Washington tub, Sir Thomas Leaf felt the need to dive in and immerse himself in the healing waters followed by Lord Ashran playing troll under the bridge in the waters as well. Exploring the grounds was worthy of a walk around as they ended up at the Portals New Age Store to visit the diviner Geoffrey for a social call. After farewells were had, Sir Thomas Leaf and Lady Etain headed back to the Berkeley Springs to the Roman Baths to rent a bath for themselves soaking in the hot controlled waters.

After a refreshing bathing, the adventurers started off with their caravan to the sound of a “boom”. Sir Thomas Leaf thought the “boom” was the tire banging against the curb as he was pulling out, and soon the explorers were separated as Lady Etain mistakingly sped past as Sir Leaf was pulled over to the side of the road as he kept smelling something burning. Cell phone services spotty, the two wound up rejoining in a grocery store parking lot in Hancock. Lucky as it could have been a disaster with the shotty cell phone issues they were experiencing. Following the scent of the burning smell, they discovered the solar panel installed on the roof was generating over 14.6 volts to the controller that was holding off the extra charge to the 12 volt battery. Even with running all the appliances, the “boom” they heard in Berkeley Springs, was one of the transistors popping in the controller, and it was nearly catching on fire and melting the controller. A scary thought since it could have burnt down their vardo while they were bathing in the Roman baths!
Onward the adventurers headed to visit a friend in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Bumper to bumper traffic welcomed them as they entered Pennsylvania delaying their arrival each time hour upon hour. Finally towards dark, they pulled into the historic center of Harrisburg, meeting Lady Amy and her warrior Ryan for some pizza and good cider … Lots of fun catching up into the wee hours of the night. They provided the weary travellers with a gorgeous guest room with a refreshing shower to prepare them for their next day’s journey ….
