Coulee City, WA
It was an interesting day ahead for the adventurers. Lady Etain stayed behind at the Coulee City Motel playing with the Prince while Sir Thomas Leaf scrambled out of bed to grab his bag lunch that Lady Etain so kindly made for him the night before. Grabbed his gear and went down the hotel walk to the crew chief’s room, where he and Sir Patrick awaited their leader to meet with them. The crew pit stopped at Big Wally’s for some snacks on the road and then off to the field. They began a cold hike across the Washington desert in an area affected by wildfires that was going to be re-seeded by the Bureau of Land Management. It was a bit tricky getting out to the survey area as the snow melt made the river crossing higher than expected and they had to pull some boulders and logs out of the path to get across.
They set in for a good 8 hour day of survey and travel. They found a nice hilltop to have lunch on, as it was still cold out they didn’t need to worry about the sun. Around 4:30 pm the crew arrived back at the hote. Sir Thomas headed straight to the hotel room to hug the Prince and Lady Etain, then took them over to Big Wally’s for ice cream. That evening was a bunch of web work for Sir Thomas and calculating finances for the expedition so far. Sir Thomas Leaf updated Skype by paying the monthly fee so that Lady Etain could call Ireland frequently. That evening, energy drained, Sir Thomas Leaf passed out while Lady Etain nursed the Prince to sleep.
