White Salmon, WA – Hood River – The Dalles, Oregon
They were blessed with a small deposit into their account from Amazon sales, giving them ability to afford a drink to do chai n’ wifi soon for work, orders, and job hunting. They instead decided to conduct a strategy meeting over festival vending for the summer during lunch at McDonalds in the Dalles while the Prince played in the play center. They then moved over to Starbucks, Sir Thomas doing Chai n’ wifi, web blogging, order processing, and job hunting while Lady Etain took Prince Cian over to Goodwill to do birthday shopping and get him a toy.
On the way home, they stopped at the Riverside Valero gas station in Hood River to put in some funds so they don’t run out even though they were cash strapped. Lady Etain did not want to use her birthday money on fuel. Luckily Sir Thomas was rescued from his friends who acted like Heroines by making it possible to keep afloat by loaning and gifting him funds. He said special thanks to Lady Domi, Lady Christina, Lady Elke, and Lady Rebecca for saving him.
With some funds for survival and ability to start get to paid work, the Explorers began wrapping up packing and cleaning the cottage. Next week they hoped they could escape this tomb they’ve been snowed into all winter.
They had wished they had the resources to treat themselves to a hotel and escape the insanity of the off-grid land they were living on. But alas, they were still broke, even with the loans and gifts they were given. That had to be reserved for travel funds to the next job.
They read the Prince some fairy tales for bedtime, played cars with him, and Lady Etain breastfed/co-slept him to sleep while Sir Thomas worked into the wee hours on inventory. It was a productive day.
