Sir Thomas heavy in thought crawled out of bed and headed off in the Isis Adventure thru Time van driving onto base to work on curation, data management, and archaeology at Fort Carson. After a long day he was ready for a hike. He headed off to the Red Rock Canyon Open Space for contemplative thoughts. He had a lot riding on his mind about giving up a stable career as a Curator / Archaeologist and the journey of a lifetime he was soon to behold. He knew it was life changing. He headed out of his van onto the trail, walking amongst the red giants … a place of archaeology, history, solitude, and discovery. Past the small lake, past pines nestled in crevices of the red rocks, he climbed the hills and peaks, finding a nice flat stone to perch and meditate above. Thoughts of Cornwall, of Australia, of Ireland, or Scotland. True love? new careers? new beginnings. He had not been content for quite some time … it was time for change, time for discovery.
Echoes of history ruminated through the rocks, murmurs of the Red Giants confirming to Sir Thomas that he was on the right path. This was the right journey to take. With that assurance, Sir Thomas finished up his meditation, took a swig from his water bottle, and hiked back down the canyon to the parking lot.
He drove on into Old Colorado City, the town of miners that took over this area from the first inhabitants. A rough history this area had through its multiple occupations. He returned back to Lady Allison’s and chatted with her and Princess Astranna. They grabbed chinese food for dinner and watched a movie before sleep. It was an interesting day.
