Oisin awoke at 8:30 am to get ready for his busy Sunday. He has had barely enough recovery time over the weekend for the draining previous week but managed his energy. He accomplished laundry, chores, packing, and getting ready for his trip South to Renton as he’d be doing Daddy Daycare and school volunteering again this week. The weather plunged into colder temperatures, making for an uncomfortable day out and about.
He had some GrubHub deliveries scheduled from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. By noon he began his drive to Bellingham to get into the zone to accept offers. On the way out the door he made a tofu Spinach Scramble washed down with orange juice for breakfast. The scheduled shift was good, higher than usual paying deliveries, but they ended with his shift. He tried to do some fishing for 45 minutes, and there were no bits of offers for more work. So he decided to head south towards Renton.
He missed the rest area exit, so decided to stop at the Bow Hill – Skagit Casino for a break, hoping the all you can eat buffet was still happening at 3 pm. It was not. While he was there, he decided to throw in $2 within the slots and came out with $21 of winnings. He also forgot that casinos often have free drinks, so he could feed his unhealthy soda addiction whilst on the road by stopping there and instead of dishing out nearly $2 for a Coke at 7-Eleven, grab the free drinks at the casino and toss in the soda funds into the slots to see if he could win. A potentially better deal he thought. This time it worked like gold.
He continued his drive to Renton. The Air BnB his ex reserved for him was an extra bedroom in a house owned by a very nice elderly couple from India. He enjoyed getting to know them. While a cluttered kitchen, he found room to make some dinner in their kitchen, and not dependent on a microwave again. He contemplated the differences between the new Air BnB concept vs the old “Couchsurfing” Concept. As he prepared for the week and rested, he spent the evening doing web development, accounting, and vlogging.
