* Douglas, Cork, Ireland – Garryvoe Beach, Cork, Ireland *
A big part of the Walking with the Ancestors is spending time with elders and family … regardless of biological or extended. As visiting family usually incurs a lot of time spent locally and during domestic down-time, Sir Thomas Leaf, Lady Etain, and the Prince of Endurance must commit to this as well. Prince Cian was able to meet with his cousins Prince Owen and Prince Liam getting together with Lady Etain’s sisters and brothers, mom and dad. Festive buildup was escalating all along as in 25 days the celebrations of Xmas would soon be had. Their mom met up with them at the Ballyseedy Home and Garden Café for some gluten-free lunch and hot chocolate treat. Prince Cian had his fill of sparkly fairy lights and reindeer as they progressed off for some time with nature. Sir Thomas Leaf, pumped full of wanderlust as he is, needed to get out of the house so the adventurers took some down time going to the beach. They visited the Garryvoe Beach, a small pebble and sand strand that the Prince of Endurance got his fill of playing with and eating sand at. A great little kids playground with swings and a pirate ship made his eyes glow with wonder as he swung on the swings with his parents. Evening was spent at the Movie Junction Drive-In Theater where they all watched “Hunger Games 2“. The young prince was a charmer and very well behaved. Sir Thomas Leaf and Lady Etain thought he would be ready for the real theater then. One evening they had their very first baby-sitting experience for the evening out at the pub with friends … and anxious Sir Thomas Leaf and Lady Etain were calling every 5-10 minutes making sure he was okay. The Grandparents said he was a bit whiny when they left but he settled down once they talked to him on the phone. Another night they took in the re-make of Carrie (2013). Down time with the parents watching television, having tea, and catching up. Grand-parent time with the kids.
