The adventurers slept in, this time even Sir Leaf enjoyed the rest evermore. Alas though, the explorers slept in a bit too late to enjoy the cool just after the rain opportunity to explore Disney during the day with a false feel of Fall in southern California. The night before saw heavy rains and overcast, a drop in temperatures, and a trigger that caused a sniffle amongst the adventuring party. They packed up their gear and headed down the interstate to Disneyland.

The park was extremely busy, something Sir Leaf thought was amiss because he thought it should be empty with the threats of rain in the skies. Just the opposite. The party was quite excited to see the Halloween and fall decorations the park is known for doing up during this season … the season that is a favorite amongst the explorers. Jack-o-lanterns and ghost welcomed them albeit in style of Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and Donald Duck. Onwards they went down Main street and headed straight to Pioneerland to hope to catch the boat to Tom Sawyer’s Island which would soon be destroyed and replaced by a new Star Wars theme area. On the boat, the young princes’ were excited to go explorer the caves, foot paths, and pirate coves of the island. Oddly Prince Cian was terrified of the caves, something odd for the young prince of Endurance since he would trek into real caves and tunnels in the ghost towns of the west trying to lose his parents. But not today, he did not want to go through with Daddy, and threw a tantrum. All he wanted to do was play with his cars in the dirt. He was distracted my many things at times but definitely under the weather and uplifted personality. They sought refuge from the humidity from last night’s and morning’s rain impacts by climbing aboard the riverboat to eat lunch as it paddled its way around the island. Onwards for gumbo in the French Quarter, the adventurers took a break while Prince Winter passed out and Prince Cian grew impatient they weren’t on the move. Docteur Mangor, Prince Cian, Sir Leaf, and Lady Etain stood in line for the Haunted Mansion turned Nightmare Before Xmas which was over an hour’s wait. Prince Cian grew weary and wanted to settle down for a nap so Lady Etain jumped out of the line leaving the two twisted brothers to experience the madness themselves. It was quite an impressive and comical make-over Sir Leaf thought as they whirled through the mansion into eerie Xmas-land guided by Skeleton Jack.

To make up for the babysitting wait the Ladies endured with the young Princes …. Docteur Mangor with Prince Winter and Sir Leaf with Prince Endurance took the delvings into the bumper car raceway while the Ladies headed off to Space Mountain for an hour wait to climb aboard the coaster. Once Prince Cian discovered his mother was absent, he threw a tantrum that is evermore a trait of the Terrible twos and refused to drive the race car. Until …. they passed his uncle and cousin, then he snapped out of the crying rage grabbed the wheel and was racing away. As they turned the corner he realized momma was gone again and began to slink back into his fit until they encountered each other again. Then onwards to Captain Nemo’s undersea adventures … they climbed aboard the submarine for volcanic fish fun. They moved on to the parade of lights until they got the call that the mommies were back from Space Mountain. Nevermore would you see two excited toddlers to see their moms again. They all walked around, and met with exhaustion, decided to call it a night. Farewells were done and Sir Leaf / Lady Etain / Prince Cian headed off in a different direction back to the Inland Empire. A good day (minus the tantrums) was had by all.
