Apple is also known as Apple Tree, Malus malus, Mela, Melo, Ping Guo, Pomme, Eve, Abilde, \u00c4ppel, Apfelbaum, Jablon Dom\u00e1ca, Ma\u00e7anzeira, Malus domestic, Pyrus malus, Ringo, Pomo, Apfel, \u00c4ppeltr\u00e4d, Eble, and forbidden fruit. <\/p>\n

Within folklore, Apple was not only a popular fruit to eat, addition to many dishes and desserts, but medicine for controlling diarrhea, constipation, softening, passage, collection of gallstones, to prevent cancer, diabetes, dysentery, fever, heart problems, warts, scurvy, and for teeth cleaning. Some other folk applications claim used for small intestines ulcers, hay fever, hair loss, cancer, diabetes, diarrhea, swelling of the small intestine, lung cancer, mercury toxicity, weight loss, metabolic syndrome, fever, heart issues, warts, and other conditions.  An apple a day keeps the doctor away. There is no scientific evidence however to these folk beliefs. The FDA states apples are likely safe for consumption with no known side effects with fruit or juice. The seeds do contain cyanide and are poisonous. Caution to be expressed with diabetics as apples, most importantly its juice can increase blood sugar levels.  <\/p>\n
