Staurolite – aka Fairy Crosses
This remarkable Celtic-cross or X shaped stones are known as the tears of God and Fairy crosses. This brown to grey glassy mineral occurs in hexagonal prisms twinned as an X or a cross, made of silicate of aluminum and iron.
