background-repeat: repeat; background-attachment: scroll; background-position: 0% 0%;\">He added: \u2018Although the assessment was superficial, it is obvious that its features do not correspond to any ethnic group in the world.\u2019<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\">The remains of an eyeball<span> in the right socket<\/span> will help determine its genetic DNA &#8211; and clear up the controversy if it is human or not.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\">The second mummy is incomplete and is only 30cm (12in).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\"> It lacks a face and seems to be wrapped in a layer as a placenta, fetal position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\">The remains bear a striking resemblance to the triangular crystal skull in the 2008 Indiana Jones film Kingdom of the Crystal Skull &#8211; to signify group affiliation or social status &#8211; dates back 9,000 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\"> Common in various tribal cultures around the world (such as Mayans, North American natives and Australian Aborigines), the head moulding styles fell into three groups: flat, round or conical.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\">To achieve the desired shape, the head was wrapped in tight cloth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\">In the case of cranial flattening, the head was placed between two pieces of wood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\">The technique would usually be carried out on an infant, when the skull is at its most pliable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em;\">The cloth would be applied from a month after birth and be held in place for about six months.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"overflow: hidden;
