In the early months of 1990, Today’s Movies appeared on the internet as www.todaysmovies.com. It set out to be more than a list of movies and times; it offered a space where film lovers found showtimes, reviews, and even a way to buy tickets online. The site aimed to create a gathering place for those who wanted more from their theater visits. It collected voices, opinions, and the shared anticipation of seeing a story come alive on the big screen.

As time moved on, larger sites like Yahoo Movies and Fandango began to draw crowds. Theaters published their own schedules for all to see. Today’s Movies, built with care but limited in resources, could not match their reach. The original mission shifted. The site narrowed its scope, becoming a space dedicated to reviews and reflections rather than live showtimes.

The story did not end there. In 2018, Today’s Movies found new energy and purpose, rising again as an online community. The team set out to gather and archive every review, comment, and memory from the years past, making them available for readers old and new. Visitors were invited to return and explore the growing collection.

A New Chapter Under Techno Tink Media

By 2025, Today’s Movies marked another change, joining the creative world of Techno Tink Media. The project left the care of Technogypsie Productions, its stewards from 2014 to 2024. During those years, the site’s home shifted from the small, historic town of Ashland, Oregon, to the storied streets of Manitou Springs, Colorado. These places left their mark, giving the project a sense of heritage and grounding it in real communities.

The site’s roots even reached into “The Leaf and Dragon,” a publication once known for its deep dives into folklore, legends, and the tales of sword and sorcery. That spirit continues to shape the reviews and stories now, weaving together film commentary with an eye for myth and meaning.

Today’s Movies stands ready to bring even more reviews, tales, and thoughtful explorations to your screen. As the archive grows, it reflects the voices and tastes of film lovers over decades. Each visit offers a chance to follow the journey, discover hidden gems, and share in the lasting appeal of storytelling on screen.
